The Luxpower GETA 3.6K/24V Hybrid Inverter is a compact 3600W pure sine wave inverter designed for residential solar backup, essential appliance circuits and small off-grid power systems.

Its high-voltage MPPT solar input supports up to 4000W of PV capacity and a maximum PV input voltage of 500V. This allows compatible solar panels to be connected in longer series strings, helping to reduce PV cable current and simplify suitable installations.

Dual AC outputs provide intelligent load management by separating essential and secondary appliances. This allows the system to prioritise important loads while controlling less critical equipment according to the available battery capacity, solar production and programmed operating mode.

The inverter is compatible with both lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries and includes battery activation from either solar power or the utility grid. Built-in Wi-Fi enables continuous remote monitoring, giving users access to system performance and operating information throughout the day.

Selected household appliances within the inverter rating

High-Voltage MPPT Solar Input:

The inverter includes one independent MPPT input with support for a maximum PV array capacity of 4000W.

The MPPT operating range extends from 55V to 440V, while the maximum permitted PV input voltage is 500V. The connected solar panel string must remain within all voltage and current limits under the expected operating and environmental conditions.

PV Input Specifications:

Maximum PV array power: 4000W

Independent MPPT inputs: 1

Maximum PV input voltage: 500V

MPPT voltage range: 55V–440V

PV start-up voltage: 65V

Maximum PV input current per MPPT: 18A

Dual Output Load Management:

The dual-output design allows essential and non-essential loads to be managed separately. This helps the system reserve available battery energy for important circuits while controlling secondary appliances according to the inverter configuration.

The final load arrangement must be planned by the installer according to:

The inverter’s 3600W output rating

Battery discharge capability

Available solar production

Appliance start-up current

Required backup duration

Essential and non-essential load priorities

Battery Compatibility:

The Luxpower GETA 3.6K/24V supports compatible 24V lithium-ion and lead-acid battery systems.

Rated battery voltage: 24V

Maximum combined PV and AC charge current: 100A

Battery wake-up from PV: Supported

Battery wake-up from utility grid: Supported

EQ battery function: Included

The EQ or equalisation function should only be enabled for battery types that support equalisation charging. It must not be used with lithium batteries unless specifically permitted by the battery manufacturer.

Battery Activation:

The inverter can activate a compatible battery using energy from either the solar array or the utility grid. This feature may assist when a compatible lithium battery has entered a low-voltage protection or sleep state.

Battery communication, voltage limits and charge settings must be configured according to the battery manufacturer’s requirements.

UPS Output Specifications:

Rated output power: 3600W

Rated output voltage: 220V / 230V AC

Rated output current: 15.7A

System Sizing Notice:

The inverter can supply a maximum rated output of 3600W. The total continuous appliance load must remain within this limit.

Appliances with motors, compressors, pumps or heating elements may draw substantially more power during start-up or operation. The installer must calculate the continuous load, surge demand, battery capacity and required backup time before commissioning the system.

The inverter output rating does not determine battery runtime. Runtime depends on:

Battery storage capacity

Usable depth of discharge

Total connected load

Inverter efficiency

Battery condition

Solar production during use

Configured operating limits

Solar Panel Configuration:

Solar panels must be configured so that the complete string remains within the following inverter limits:

Maximum array power: 4000W

Maximum open-circuit voltage: 500V

MPPT operating voltage: 55V–440V

Maximum MPPT input current: 18A

Start-up voltage: 65V

The solar string voltage must be calculated using the panel open-circuit voltage and the expected minimum site temperature. Exceeding the inverter’s maximum PV voltage or current can damage the inverter and may invalidate the warranty.

Warranty:

Two-year warranty.

The warranty is subject to the Luxpower warranty terms, correct system design, compatible equipment, approved operating conditions and professional installation.

Installation and Warranty Requirements:

All inverters and batteries must be installed by a qualified electrical wireman or master electrician with valid registration through the relevant South African authority.

A valid electrical Certificate of Compliance must be issued after installation and must specifically cover the completed backup or solar system. The installation must comply with SANS 10142 and all applicable sections, manufacturer instructions and electrical regulations.

Warranty claims may require:

A valid Certificate of Compliance

Clear installation photographs

Proof of installation by a qualified electrical wireman or master electrician

The inverter serial number

Proof of purchase

Battery and inverter settings

Solar panel string information

System commissioning records

A warranty claim submitted without the required installation documentation may be rejected and the warranty may be rendered invalid.
